the background pictures are from personal photos.

the board is a variation of your own one, i just changed the colors. so yeah it should have copyright... yours... i guess.

the fire symbol is what i'm not sure about... i guess i'll change it into a carneol, then it should be ok after all...

-i assume my program would merge both stereo channels to one mono channel. That's at least what audacity does when converting files from stereo to mono, not sure bout cdex. -the mp3player has to decode both channels to play the file. Playing a mono file it'd have to decode only one -> half the work ...

first have a look at knoppix since it'll run directly from cd. You can try out different window/desktop manager (however this is called, like KDE, Gnome and Windowmaker) and think about what you prefer.

i'm thinking about encoding my music files in mono in the future (audio cds for my mp3 player). I'll use the ogg format btw. advantages: -smaller file size -less to do for the player so batteries might even last longer i usually can't hear any difference between the left and right ear anyways or som...

a friend of mine has an old laptop for sale. specs: cpu 500 mhz 128 mb ram 10 gb hdd price would be 150 ? i'm thinking about buying it and then using linux on it.
