If there's one thing I hate in the NT/2K/XP kernel, it's that scheme of remembering each physical drive's letter. That's one thing I liked about DOS/9x/ME: it assigned them as it came. Now? Pfft. Turns a hard drive "upgrade" into a tech support fiasco

Just copy the partition. The system won't be screwed up after only a week, and copying the partition onto the other drive will be faster than doing a fresh install of Windows, grabbing all the updated from Windows Update, setting everything else up, installing drivers... Yes, *but*... DO NOT instal...

Check for an AGP slot. The brown one. The second you stick something in that slot, it shuts off your crap built-in one. But feel lucky. I'm on a laptop with an 8mb NON-DX9 compatible video chip (s3). And I'm not about to buy a new one.
