As for square enix not releasing a TRPG check out song summoner. I have not actually started it yet (accidentally wiped all my music and you kinda need that for the game to work), but from checking out gameplay videos it looks like I might enjoy it.

Well, I kinda ruined game dev story. I mean, I had tons of fun, but on my 2nd playthrough I was able to get a game to win the game of the year, made my own 64-bit console with bluray and get like 20+ games in the hall of fame. Anybody else have this happen?

Thats awesome. I didn't realize it did all that. I got my dad a copy for christmas (the developer posted on the apple subreddit giving out free codes so why not?). I should of realized it was doing something since he wasn't calling me about how to do certain things.
