Re: Thrustmaster Wheel playing up...

Well, it turns out the cut track wasn't the problem... one of the two d-pad right buttons had a short. So I just desoldered that and now it works perfectly (sans one of the d-pad right buttons). Don't know if I'll bother replacing it, works fine with just one dpad. ;)

Re: Thrustmaster Wheel playing up...

Looks like I might have to give that a shot. Unfortunately in order to get into the wheel section I need some hexagon screwdrivers. Hrmm, I wonder if any of my allen keys would fit... Edit: Well, I've opened the wheel right up and found the most bizarre thing. It seems that there was a mistake when ...

Thrustmaster Wheel playing up...

Hey all. Man it's been a long time since I've been here. Sad to say, I'm only back to beg for someone's help. ;) I recently bought a Thrustmaster Steering Wheel for my ol' DC. Worked great for the first day, but now I have an odd problem.. the d-pad seems to constantly move right. The analog part (t...

I'll purchase the mag if international shipping is being arranged somehow. (If it is/isn't, don't flame me, I can't read all 6 pages of this at the moment. ;)) Also, might I suggest putting the answers to FAQs on a site somewhere or editing the first post and placing them there? Would be great for l...

They'd only call it "Dreamcast 2" if it was simply a redesigned DC, like with the Master System 2 and Mega Drive (Genesis) 2. Plus, it's not happening, ever. Should it happen in spite of this, throw a party, otherwise, let it be and move on with your life.

Cheap DC Memory Units? Or Cheap Backup cable?

Having completely filled my existing VMUs now and hunting around for more, I discovered that buying additional units is going to prove expensive. AU$20 + postage for just your standard 1meg VMU/MU from ebay. I've looked at Lik-sang, and found a 4meg dealie with a PC cable so data can be backed up, b...

Yep, it's a first person shooter alright. Here's the official website: http://www.3drealms.com/rott/ There're some screenshots there about half way down the page.

Do you happen to own Rise Of The Triad? Even if you don't, grab the shareware version of the port, it's absolutely flawless. Only trouble it has is a long load time as you first start it up, after which it runs beautifully. That's my recommendation for DC ported FPSes. ;)

I wish people would use correct terminology. File sharing is NOT illegal. It is no more illegal than setting up your own FTP or HTTP server, or transfering files through an IM client. I see it all the time and it pisses me off. I personally share music on WinMX and other clients that has been releas...

Also of course as GDROMs are not readable by PC based CD drives *asa means of copy protection* any 'ripping' of any sort from a GDROM *by definition* needs to circumvent copy protection to be done - which is clearly illegal. Hooking your DC up to a HIFI and entering a games music selection screen a...

Hang on a minute here, an Aussie has a BBA? Woah.... what ISP are you with? Was it easy to set up? How much did it cost? What games still have servers....

Metal Slug on Dreamcast? Nothing short of a bullet to the head would get in my way of purchasing that release.

Funny, Fair Use DID cover making your own copies for personal non-public usage... until the DMCA. Yay for progress right? Pretty sure it's now illegal in the US to make a backup of a CD, or rip it to your own hard drive... hell, can you even copy a CD to a cassette to play in your car? Probably have...

Yep, I have NO idea what's going on in those screens. But they do look like some of the demoscene 3D stuff I've seen, it has a nice retro / Tron feel to it. ;)

Saw the first commercial for it today, showing off Tomb Raider. Pity it looks exactly like the original Tomb Raider for PC which came out... how many years ago? Hardly an impressive launch title. ;)

I don't think I could possibly be LESS interested in getting one.

I've got the SA2 Birthday pack and Gameshark runs it beautifully on my PAL DC. And surprisingly running SA2 in 60Hz mode works perfectly on my TV. I always get flickering at the top of the screen when I run any PAL game at 60Hz, but this was a pleasant surprise. I tried Utopia aswell, but it just sh...

It's ambiguous when it comes to scientific notation, and I'll give them that much. But BlackAura is right, the name they chose is horrid. It just sounds ridiculous, the only people who will use it are the standards organisations themselves, and perhaps a few universities/institutes.

Edit: WARNING! This post contains excessive use of the word NICE. May be harmful if taken internally. I've always prefered the full 8 way d-pads such as on the SMS, Genesis and from what I can tell Saturn aswell. Far nicer on the hands. I was also kinda disappointed that Sega went for white after so...

hydra wrote:Maple Bus Scan (I don't how to play it)
Sounds like more of a testing utility than a game, seeing as the Maple bus is the bus on which all the DC controller ports are wired. (Pretty certain of that.)
