Re: Music for Homebrew Games

My offer still stands. I will write new music specifically for a homebrew game. My strengths are dark music, ambient or agressive, dance....and my current links:

Yeah right. I'll bet the two games that actually work run at like 1 fps. They can't even get most snes games running at full speed yet after all these years. Don't get me wrong it's cool to try, but there's no way people can expect all those games running.

I also know of a lot of people who play online with the DC. I know of a lot more who play DC online than PS2 online actually...[/quote] YUP! And thats a fact... and the Quake 3 servers will be online for a long time and if the legit servers of PSO are going down, we always have the homebrew ones. I...

:D

Best Times: Giving in to my temptation to get a brand new DC after the first Capcom VS Snk came out! I was trying to wait for the Cube but alas it was too far away and Sega had all the cool arcade games! I was in paradise that day! I picked up a DC, SFA3, SF3rd Strike and CvS. Losing my job, signin...

Well anyway it's been a long time since I've checked back here, but I stopped worrying about the homebrew music since I didn't get any interest and ended up starting a band. CD is done and we're playing shows now in the Northwest. (USA)

maybe it would sound more real if you said you first plan to release one game and see how it sells before making some more Yeah, I'm sorry but you should finish High School and make sure your grammer is up to par before taking on such a challenging project.......unless of course English is your sec...

Utopia works on most imports, but for the rest Action Replay should work. Both can be easily located on a search engine. Still, one of the commercial discs would probably work more reliably.

Yeah but all that works is the power supply, fan, and cosmetic parts. GD-ROM is toast and the mainboard is toast.

SUCCESS!!!!

Thanks for the advice guys! I completely disassembled both dreamcasts. In the old dreamcast I noticed there was heat dissapation pads on the mainboard that were missing or deteriorated on the new board. I swapped the mainboard into my sports system, put it all back together and it no longer freezes!...

I don't think it's overheating. The system has plenty of breathing room and the vent is wide open. Regarding the old system, I tried adjusting the screw about 1/8th clockwise. Is the calibration screw the same as the voltage adjuster? PS I'm certain it's not the games. I took them to Gamecrazy and t...

Swapping out the mainboard? Not a bad idea. I haven't taken the DC that far apart before but I'd be willing to try it in hopes of being able to play my favorite system again.

Well, my DC finally crapped out (drive makes high pitched sound and never loads a game)so I bought a "newer" (2000) black sports one on ebay. Here is my problem. The system starts up games great, but at certain points in every game it freezes. Space Channel 5 freezes on the second level. S...

Not really. Nothing useful or necessarily fun to tool around with. There is a working version of linux available, but think linux in the early days. When using a television the screen is partially cut off. Can't handle KDE, gnome, or any good gui's (windows type environment), and it doesn't come wit...
