Late to the topic (and the Kickstarter) but it looks cool. Good for him!

Re: A MESSAGE FROM BONEYCORK
I know what you mean Boney, I feel pretty much the same way. This was definitely my favorite online community. The amount of "inside" shenanigans we had going on here was insane. I mean, we even had our own memes, no? I will always remember Adam Delano, Mark Discordia, etc.

Re: Favorite games of this console generation?
Lots of great ones but Mortal Kombat gets the top spot for me. Easily the most I've ever enjoyed a fighting game. RE5 is probably second - but it doesn't hold a candle to RE4 (my all-time favorite game).

Re: The Avengers
Saw it again today, great movie. Easily my favorite Marvel heroes flick, beating out X2 and X-Men First Class. (I love the Punisher movies too but consider them a different category). An impressive feat considering I've never been a fan of the Avengers. Hulk's my favorite character of that particula...

Re: Go on then...Games of the year? (2011 edition)
MORTAL KOMBAT is my pick. Not just the best of the series, but easily the the most involved I've ever gotten into a fighting game. Gameplay is near-perfect, Story Mode is the best of its kind. Another favorite: Shadows Of the Damned. Shame nobody played this; I loved it. I know RE4 isn't new but it'...

Re: So Resident Evil 6... Not Excited?
Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game of all time. The controls are certainly challenging at first but the game is SO worth the effort. It consistently exudes atmosphere throughout. The levels are so well designed that you can take pretty much any screenshot with scenery and pinpoint exactly where it ...

I like to laugh at an old comic book ad that said something to the effect of "Now every kid can have GI JOE: THE MOVIE at home! Only $29.99 on VHS!"

I know this thread died months ago, but I thought this was a good Redbox rental. Played through it in a couple days, grabbed most of the achievements. Glad I didn't buy it, as I don't think I would've played the rest (bonus missions, better ranks, etc).

Re: 4 years ago today...
Alas, given the track record of how most devs use motion controls, I'd rather this idea stay dead. This way I won't suffer neck cramps after I've played PS4 for a couple of hours. That's the crux of it. The last thing we need is bloatware waggle crap. There's also the "through-the-window"...

Re: 4 years ago today...
I'm susprised by the resistance to this, but I think I get it now. I agree this would be gimmicky in a Kinect-like setting where you're jumping and dodging around like a crack fiend, which I suppose is what people might immediately think about now. If you're constantly aware of the mechanics and gim...

I think you misunderstood one of the major points - it achieves 3-D effect on a regular screen.mankrip wrote:- 3D TVs still weren't a mass product at the time. With 3D TVs becoming more popular, this may become more interesting.

4 years ago today, Johnny Chung Lee unveiled his absolutely MIND-BLOWING 3D/VR/head-tracking tech (watch the vid). Not only was it the most immersive and innovative gaming tech ever demonstrated, it was cheap to produce as well, using existing technology and literally turning it backward. Microsoft ...
