Nakamichi, that sounds good... let me know when you can be on chat this weekend and I'll meet you there. I have classes all this week, but this weekend is free. Shark, I'm glad to hear that. Thanks SO much if you go through with the cheat database. :D Fathead, it's always good to see you. 8-) -Ex

If I understand you correctly... Your Dreamcast probably came with a 56K modem. If it says "Line" at the jack, it's a modem. If it says "LAN", it's probably a Broadband adapter. If you don't have a broadband adapter, you will need a dialup ISP. You can use Planetweb 3.0 and Broad...

If you know how to selfboot a game, you can add whatever you want, remake the image and burn it. If you don't know how, there are several tutorial...

XDP is a selfboot cdi image. It was made with Disc Juggler 3.5. You can use cdi2nero to change it to a nero image if you want.
I reccommend burning it with alcohol 120%, just because you use all the default settings. You can also use disc juggler.

I would like to include an offline database of all the codes and cheats for every Dreamcast game. What I have in mind is an index page of all the games released, each with a link to a text file of any cheat codes, game shark codes etc.

If you would like to contribute this, please let me know.

I don't know if the source is available for this, but I've always loved "NAPALM" aka "NAM" on the PC. It runs on the DOOM engine and should run great on the DC.

What were you using to burn the image? Both were made with DiscJuggler 3.5, so you can burn it with DJ 3.5 and up or Alcohol 120%. I prefer Alcohol. You can just use the default settings to burn with that program. It doesn't need a boot disc. The browsers support flash 3.0. I believe Planetweb suppo...

Brian or Nakamichi,
Are one of you available to do some translating? I could really use some help with a few things.

edit: nevermind. I finished translating it.

More about Seaman... One time he asked me what I would change about myself. I said I'd like to be taller. He didn't understand that and asked me to repeat. I said, "want to be taller". He still didn't understand and asked me to rephrase. I said, "too short". He gave me a perverte...

I love this game! Yeah, you have to hold the button down for the amount of time that the "shooooot" lasts. It's a bit tricky at first, but you'll get it. Another tip that you may already know. When playing the guitar, drums, etc, you can press any direction on the D-pad. Pressing different...

Who was it who said they had lots of spare parts?

I saw someone say they had lots of spare parts, but can't remember who or what thread it was in.
I could use a GDROM spindle motor. Not the whole GDROM, just the motor that spins the disc.

Kron, did that help you? If you're finished with the pics, I'll go ahead and take them down.
If you need better pics, I'll try again. I'll prolly have my Treamcast apart again soon. I don't think I like the blue light afterall... :?

Here's a couple pics of the inside of a Treamcast. They're pretty fuzzy and the lighting is bad, but maybe they'll help you to get an idea of what's in there. Treamcast Pics If you save these pics, they'll be a lot bigger. I'm going to take them down in the next day or two. -Ex P.S. If these help......

Yep, Its a bit larger in all directions. Actually, it's smaller in width, has the same depth, and is slightly taller. However, the actual size of the Treamcast without the LCD screen is shorter than a regular DC. It's packed pretty tight in that little box so it's runs a bit warm. I marked on the m...

I think Ikaruga is better, but Psyvariar 2 is easier and shorter. It's definitely better than Borderdown IMO simply because of the difficulty of Borderdown. I'm not a shooter fan, but here's where I'd rank it:

1-Ikaruga
2-Psyvariar2 tied with Zero Gunner
3-Borderdown

It's an incredible game - probably my favorite for the DC. I've beaten it several times, yet I keep going back for more. I even like it better than the Metal Gear Solid games... at least until the next one comes out. I like MGS and have beaten every version out so far, but MGS 1&2 just don't hav...

The only reason they can get away with still releasing ps1 games is userbase. Atari 2600 games were made until like i think 93, just becasue soo many people had them. Commercially yes, but quality Atari 2600 games are still coming out. I had the chance to see a few in the making last year at the Au...

The original Speed Devils not only has a split-screen 2 player option, but it has different games and competitions for 2 players. I don't remember specifically at the the moment, but there's things like "chicken" and who can spend the most time leading, etc. that give more variety than jus...
