DC DEV ISO and Coder's Cable question
Okay, I have a Windows machine (XP Home) and my friend has a Linux box. Will the DC Dev ISO R(1, 2, or 3) load on either box without much (or any) modifications?
Also, where can I find a Coder's Cable? Do they still even exist? If not, is there a substitute for them?

Assuming this existed would be you buy it?
Again, assuming this existed would you buy it? A Dreamcast with 2 500 Mhz SH-4s, 128MB System RAM, PVR with 250 Mhz GPU and 64MB of Video Memory, 16MB of Sound Memory. Basically a buffed up NAOMI2 board. I ask only because of people's acceptance of the Wii which is a buffed up GameCube. Now I'm not ...

Also does the DC read the 800MB and the 870MB (99 minutes) discs? If yes, then the HD-Burn on those would still be readable since it has more space than a normal CD-R (650MB). Right? The technology behind 99 minute CD-Rs isn't the same as HD-Burn. The Dreamcast will read the discs, however. About a...

Sanyo can create 1.4 GB CD-Rs
Well I figure that since everyone is trying to make Dreamcast games that this will be helpful to anyone. http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/3379.cfm I do have a question though. I remember some people saying that when you finally burn your game you have to burn it so the data is toward the outer ...

I don't know how helpful it will be to everyone but I thought I'd post it.

In that same thread, it says that you have to (or it's highly suggested) that you download ISO r1 install Cygwin from that and then download ISO r2 then install the rest of the files. It has no mention whether that has been resolved. Also the very first page of that thread, says that the DC-Load/Too...

I guess I didn't word that properly. I know all of this is homebrew and that it's always a WIP, sorta like Firefox. But I mean there isn't a place where I saw that says something like: Download the stable version of KOS Dev SDK here. Download DC-Tool/Load here. Go here for instructions on how to set...

Finalized DC Dev setup?
I've read the stickies and read some of the stuff in Hardware section. But everything seems to be WIP. So is there a finalized setup for DC Dev as well as what you need to get so everything is setup (software and hardware).

Get yourself a serial cable (Coders cable). From where? I thought Sony closed down Lik-Sang for good?? Yes, sadly so. It is still available from some other places (google for it), but has become more rare and also more expensive. well I found one such place http://store.gameasylum.us/accessories2.h...

Hardware Question
If I want to develop for the DC and load my game from PC to DC, what options do I have?
I asked in another forum, but I'll ask here as well. How much work or altering would it take for a DC Modem to behave like a BBA or LAN? Is it worth it?

56K modem data transfer
Well you know how you can use the LAN or Broadband modem to upload/download data from DC <--> PC, can you do the same with the 56K modem (it can't be any worse than the serial cable)?
