Re: DC SD Card Reader - what can it do
Hmmm, recently my dreamcast GD-ROM laser stopped working. I'm lazy so I just wanted to try a typical laser cleaner audio disc. This seems like a good idea for me if it's totally beyond repair.

Recently I've got a new client who's notebook stopped charging. It's a typical client request and I run these down from time to time. My process is as follows;a.Wiggle the male connector to see if connection comes and goes, (charge led comes on and off.) if yes re-solder the socket to main board. if...

Is a fucking FOX in "Superbad". Honestly though, her voice is a little deeper than usual but it isn't annoying. Great movie though, I watched it last night.

"Computer" shows non-existent CD-ROM drive?

I came across a bug that appears serious.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/59695 Take a look at it, it appears that no matter what distro you are on linux could be destroying your HDD. I did the workarounds but I'm still pretty worried about it. Someone else try the check on their system and let me know if your lo...

GNOME in Ubuntu Question.
Does anyone know how to disable the window snapping to either left, right, top, or bottom? I like how the system appears with "Extra" graphic effects enabled, but how it sticks to the sides is becoming anoying. I can't seem to find out where I disable the option to make windows snap to the...

Re: Whats a good Linux distro to start out with?
I'm a beginner linux user and I decided to go with Ubuntu because it was pretty much the most downloaded distro (http://distrowatch.org) other than SuSe. Which i used before but didn't like because I couldn't get sound working. When I was first installing ubuntu it was very difficult to configure. (...

Re: Would this work (IDE--->USB)?
And if there are mounting issues then you best bet would be to go buy a cheap external enclosure. I've got a DYNEX USB 2.0 one for $15.
