Read the tutorials, in the "Mac Info Hub : Start Here" thread at the top of the Mac section, that might be a good place to start.

Personally, I'd work my ass off and get the G4 17' cuz it will do everything for me for the next 2 or 3 years. But if you only need it to surf ( ) and do school work, then it should be just fine.

LD still has better video quality than DVD, but DVD sound is so much better.

Sloppy, perhaps, but its the standard, its a recurrent theme in history, my favorite examples are VHS beating Beta, and of course, Micro$oft/PC beating Mac.

Alcohol 120% only handels images, it cant make S/VCDs or DVDs, but it is good with images. Anyone hear from timb since December? Or is it safe to say that the project never left the drawing board?
