Sega GT [51053] %51053 N0822H

Post by comradesnarky »

Probably nothing really worth looking at, but when I dumped my copy of Sega GT I noticed that all of the hashes mashed except for track14.raw. Not sure of the ring code(s) for the verified version, but DC SD ripper didn't throw any errors at me. Figured I'd submit it.

The proof image is outrageously massive, so I'll just make it a link right here.

Bad track14.raw as the ring code matches what I have of a matched dump. DC SD Ripper doesn't toss out errors unless it can not make it past the error part. Bet if you dump track14.raw again you will get a different hash.

Ah yeah, matches now. Sorry for the waste of space then, everyone.

Not a waste this is how we make sure that games are proper. I hope to god you can crack the WinCE code on this game.

+1

better to have extraneous submissions than not enough.

Over time you'll get to identify when a dump is bad by yourself though, if only one of the audio tracks is off and the rest is OK it's very likely a bad dump. If it were a different version, it would mean it was a different pressing and likely all the audio tracks wouldn't match due to a different audio offset for that pressing. But like I said, more data is better than not enough, and anything can happen!
