I've been meaning to do this for awhile now. It's a MR tool, like kRYPT's MRTool, that can convert PNG, GIF and BMP images.

Be aware that this is more like an ALPHA than a BETA (thus the version number) so some things might be broken.

Included in the new features is native joypad support, so games like Jet Grind Radio work properly, and proper CDDA support, so sound now plays properly and the broken CDDA no longer sets off certain games' copy protection (Ikaruga, Rez).

A few days ago Nathan Keynes released a new version of this Dreamcast emulator for Linux based systems. Here's what he wrote:

With the work done in the last month both for performance and usability, it seems worthwhile to release a new version. And since this version is actually (hopefully) useable by people who aren�t me, lxdream now has a real version number rather than a milestone. W00t!
Download it and enjoy. And of course, let me know how it goes.

Note: Please do not report rendering problems at this stage - there are many known bugs and unimplemented features, and it�s looking like the whole rendering stage may need to be rewritten for the next version.

Poche and me will be at the Retro Gaming Connexion 2007 (27th/28th October 2007, Congis-sur-Therouanne, near Paris, France).

It is a videogames fan meeting, which we'll participate for the 4th time (previously called Jaguar Connexion).

Eight years ago today, many American Sega fans were in tents camping out for the western release of the most powerful gaming console to date. The console would sell out, creating shortages for Sega, who would make one-hundred million dollars from sales in the first two weeks alone. Sega of America would tout that their system's fine sales demonstrated that the Dreamcast moved from the hardcore gaming market to the casual gaming market.

Although the Dreamcast now is certainly a hardcore market, today we look back upon the days when the Dreamcast had pioneered so many things in the gaming world, something for which it has never received enough credit.

RedSpotGames announces two new Dreamcast titles

RedSpotGames, who released the shooter Last Hope for Neo Geo and Dreamcast earlier this year, has announced two new titles for our beloved Dreamcast. The first is Dalforce, a new shooter game, and the second is a port of Wind and Water Puzzle Battles, a puzzle game. They will be shown at the Leipzig Games Convention later this year.
